Tayôshq Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head –Aquinnah Tribal Digital Archive

The word Tayôshq means bridge in the Wampanoag language. Tayôshq refers to the role of this digital archive and exhibits in keeping the Aquinnah people connected with each other, and to our Aquinnah homeland on the headland of Noepe (Marthas Vineyard) in the North Atlantic Ocean. Inspiration for the name comes from an understanding of how tribal community members have spread to all corners of the globe, and yet, in the age of digital technology, are never far away.
